Terms of Service & Liability Disclaimer
Please read these terms carefully. By engaging AnderMaxPC for any service, you agree to the conditions below.
1. Data Loss & Liability
AnderMaxPC accepts no financial or legal liability for the loss, corruption, or compromise of any data during diagnostics, repair, or hardware upgrades. It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure all important data is backed up prior to handing over the device.
2. Data Backup Requests
If a client requires assistance with data backup, this is considered an additional paid service. It must be explicitly requested and agreed upon prior to the commencement of any repair work.
3. Data Recovery (Best Effort)
All data recovery services are provided on a "best-effort" basis. Due to the unpredictable nature of failing storage devices, we cannot guarantee 100% data recovery. Success depends entirely on the physical and logical state of the drive.
4. Privacy & GDPR Compliance (Data Protection Act 2018)
We guarantee strict confidentiality. Client data is never copied (unless a backup service is explicitly requested), shared with third parties, or accessed beyond what is strictly necessary to perform the agreed repair.
5. Uncollected Goods
In accordance with standard service practices, if a client fails to collect their equipment and remains uncontactable for 60 days after being notified of repair completion, the equipment may be recycled or sold to cover the costs of parts, labor, and storage.
6. Standard Warranty (6 Months)
All custom PC builds, hardware repairs, and clean operating system installations come with a standard 6-month warranty on labor and initial configuration. This covers software troubleshooting related to the initial setup and labor for addressing defective components.
7. Extended Warranty & Premium Support (18 Months)
Clients may opt for an Extended Premium Warranty for an additional €150, which extends coverage to 1.5 years (18 months) from the date of completion. This tier includes:
- Priority technical support and rapid troubleshooting for software and configuration issues.
- Full RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Management: In the event of hardware failure, we handle the entire manufacturer return process, including communication, shipping logistics, and the installation of the replacement component at no additional labor cost.
8. General Warranty Void Conditions
The following conditions apply universally to both our Standard (6-Month) and Premium (18-Month) warranties. To ensure system stability and protect the integrity of our hardware optimizations, your warranty will be strictly voided under any of the following circumstances:
- Unauthorized Access: The PC chassis is opened, or warranty void stickers/seals are broken, tampered with, or removed without prior written consent from AnderMaxPC.
- Hardware Modification: Internal components are dismantled, added, removed, or swapped by the user or an unauthorized third party.
- System Alterations: BIOS/UEFI settings—including but not limited to voltages (overclocking/undervolting), RAM timings, clock speeds, and custom fan curves—are altered from the stable baseline configured by us at the time of handover.
- Physical & Environmental Damage: The system suffers damage from physical drops, liquid spills, power surges, or improper placement leading to suffocating airflow and overheating.
- Improper Use: The hardware is subjected to sustained stress loads outside its intended bespoke design (e.g., continuous cryptocurrency mining on a gaming configuration).
- Software & Malware: Our warranty strictly covers hardware integrity. Operating system corruption, data loss, virus/malware infections, or conflicts caused by user-installed third-party software are not covered.
(Note: Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 of Ireland).
